Disgusting footage has captured the moment a woman holding a baby was set upon during a wild brawl involving dozens of people in a busy shopping centre.
The video showed a woman in a grey jumper landing blows on the other shopper as she lay defenseless on the floor at Toowoomba’s Grand Central shopping centre in Queensland‘s south-east last month.
At one point a voice behind the camera could be heard shouting ‘give me the baby’ as the mother was cornered in a booth and repeatedly punched in the face.
Witnesses said as many as 30 people were involved in the brawl, which erupted about 7pm in front of a Rebel Sports store, The Toowoomba Chronicle reported.

A group of witnesses, reportedly including a police liaison officer, were then seen trying to break up the fight.
Police are investigating the footage after it was shared on social media, where it drew outrage from shocked commenters.
‘The children, the children, I just can’t get the images out of my mind,’ one commenter said.
‘To the people that stood there watching and doing nothing to protect that mother and her children you should be ashamed of yourselves,’ another added.
One local said they would boycott Grand Central until the shopping centre gave answers as to why the brawl was allowed to go on for so long.
‘Why was this allowed to happen?’ they said. ‘I will not go into Grand Central again until I have answers.’
A Queensland Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the force would not be providing an official comment on the incident.
Grand Central shopping centre has been contacted for comment.
