Olivia also candidly revealed what it was like working on the project with her dyslexia, a learning disorder which means people can have difficulty reading.

Speaking about Eric, 53, she said: ‘I got to see him a little bit, he’s lovely, I’ve always been a really big fan of his.’

‘He’s hilarious and I think he’s incredible and I was really excited to work with him. Unfortunately because of Covid-19 we had to keep distance – one person came in and one went out [in the recording studio].’

‘I have an expectation I put on myself that I can be as hardworking as them, and especially as my grandfather recently passed, I want to keep his name spoken about and highly regarded,’ she sweetly said.

In The Orchard, Eric plays a detective named Adam Durwood who is investigating a murder mystery at an all-girls high school. Olivia plays a schoolgirl named Thalia.

Olivia said that making the Audible series was both enjoyable and quite hard work, because of the focus on the voice while recording and no actual camera or visual scenes.

‘It was a lot more tiring endurance-wise than I was expecting, because you’re trying so hard with your voice. You’re focusing all your energy on your voice and lines,’ Olivia explained.

‘It’s just really different and really different to screen as well. I’m dyslexic, something I’ve struggled with for a while and because it’s an audio book. And with acting, it’s okay if your line isn’t 100 per cent as you have a visual component, but because you’re telling a story, you have to be really clear with what you’re saying,’ she said.

‘There was a lot of prep time.’

She has gone on to appear on Disney’s Secret Society of Second Born Royals and before her time on Home and Away, worked on the TV show Little Lunch.

‘It was absolutely incredible, I’m so lucky I got to do it so young,’ she said about her time in Summer Bay.

‘I learned so much more than I kind of could anywhere else. How to learn lines really quickly and be flexible.’

She finished: ‘The home and away fans are so dedicated and lovely and I’m so appreciative of my time on there – I had amazing mentors, Emily Symons and James Stewart.’
