They’re not exactly the biggest fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

And Today hosts Allison Langdon and Karl Stefanovic reacted as you’d expect to the Duchess of Sussex‘s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday.

Stefanovic, 47, threw viewers a curveball at first by saying he’d ‘come full circle’ after seeing a ‘new side’ to Meghan Markle in her latest TV interview – only for Langdon, 42, to say he was talking ‘bollocks’.

The segment began with Nine’s U.S. correspondent Alison Piotrowski recapping Meghan’s chat with Ellen, in which she discussed her early acting career, family life and friendship with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Stefanovic, who has sided with the Firm throughout the Megxit saga, said afterwards with mock sincerity: ‘Oh, I look forward to seeing what else happens in that interview with Ellen coming up in the next hour.

‘I’ve come full circle. I think this side of her is a very different side, it’s a really great side. She’s showing a bit more of herself and showing us a bit more of the relationship with Harry, and I think it’s wonderful.

‘I’ve come full, full circle on Meghan Markle.’

A confused Langdon replied: ‘That is proper bollocks! That is a big fat lie what you just said.’

Stefanovic didn’t even attempt to keep up the charade, replying dryly: ‘Yeah.’

The Duchess of Sussex told Ellen she and Harry were ‘happy’ in California as she spoke about her daughter Lilibet’s teething troubles during her TV interview.

She appeared on The Ellen Show on Thursday, eight months after the former Suits star’s controversial sit-down with Oprah Winfrey which left the Royal Family in crisis.

DeGeneres, a friend of the couple who lives near them in the celebrity enclave of Montecito, asked what Harry loves about California.

Megan replied: ‘We’re just happy.’

DeGeneres said of the Sussexes’ five-month-old daughter: ‘Lili’s now teething.’

Meghan put her hands to her mouth, saying: ‘Anything to relieve that,’ to which the talk show host quipped: ‘Tequila, anything.’

Meghan replied: ‘That’s Auntie Ellen for you.’

Elsewhere in the interview, she discussed going incognito with Harry on Halloween for a night out in Toronto with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, just before news of their relationship broke.

She also promoted her children’s book The Bench.
